Have you ever wondered what type of herb you would use to calm a belly ache, or which herb you can use as tea? From motherwort herb to peppermint leaf, there are a variety of ways to use herbs.

Mullein Leaf:

  • Long ago, the Greeks and the Romans used the stem of mullein as a lamp or torch, which was said to ward off evil spirits and witches. Today, this herb is commonly used to make tea, and in a mixture of other herbs to treat a cough.

Peppermint Leaf:

  • People have been using peppermint in medicine for about ten thousand years! Today, this herb is used as tea, as ice cream flavoring, and chewing gum flavoring. Peppermint leaf enhances your memory, and may calm a stomach ache.

Motherwort Herb:

  • The Greeks used this herb to calm the anxieties of pregnant women, while in Europe it was once used to treat cattle diseases. Today, motherwort is used to lower the level of fat in the blood, improve fertility, treat postpartum depression, and menopause.

Spearmint Leaf:

  • If you need to fight indigestion, reduce a fever, relieve stress, increase mental alertness, or brighten your mood, spearmint leaf is the herb for you. Like Peppermint leaf, spearmint leaf is also used to flavor gum, and as tea.
