![]() It’s easy to be carried away in the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, but it’s important to stick to eco-friendly practices during the holidays. Here are some of the ways you can stay green this holiday season. • Save a tree, and don’t buy wrapping paper this year. You can use many things as a substitute for wrapping paper, such as holiday themed posters, scarves, newspapers, wallpaper scraps, fabric scraps, decorative gift bags. If you’re set of using traditional wrapping paper, look for wrapping paper made from recycled paper. Make sure all recyclable items, including wrapping paper, are recycled! • After wrapping them, decorate your holiday gifts using items you find around the house such as, left over ribbons, ornaments, fabric, string, buttons, etc. • Artificial trees can be used every year, but if you want a real tree buy one from a tree farm. • Give friends and family eco-friendly gifts such as season tickets to their favorite sports team, seeds for a garden, a potted flower or plant, or you can even make a gift! • Decorate your house with LED lights, which use less energy than other holiday lighting options. • If you’re having a holiday party, use environmentally friendly party supplies. At Whole Earth Packaging, you’ll find a wide variety of eco-friendly party supplies such as, Chinet plates and bowls, corn cutlery and other eco-friendly dinnerware. There are many more things you can do to stay eco-friendly over the holidays. What are some of the ways you stay green during the holiday season? by: Whole Earth Packaging |
