Happy Earth Day everyone! Now that the big day is here, how are you going to make the most of it? Here are some more “green” tips to help you make the world a better place on Earth Day and every other day of the year.

• It should go without saying, but be sure to turn the lights off when you leave a room.
• Minimize water use when you’re washing dishes or brushing your teeth.
• Pay your bills online! This takes a huge burden off of the environment. If everyone in the US switched to paperless billing, we could save 18 million trees per year!
• Cut back on the use of plastic bags. Take reusable bags to the store. They’re fun, too. You can get them in so many colors and patterns.
• You can help your pets reduce their carbon footprint, as well. Use biodegradable bags for pet waste.
• Walk whenever you can! Eliminating harmful emissions from your car will help the environment. If you leave your car at home two days a week, you can cut back on greenhouse gas emissions by 1,600 pounds per year.
